Extension in Amersham
This property isconsidered as the first modern style house in Britain. Designed by Lucas, Ward and Connell in 1929 is a Grade II listed building in Amersham.
Ag architecture studio along with Maurice Phillips partnership were commissioned to design a single storey extension.
Swimming pool, bedroom with ensuite facilities were added which was connected to the existing house with a contemporary glass box.
A sustainable and energy efficient building was designed using Beco polystyrene blocks. A render finish to match the existing house and sedum roof terrace created a striking and interesting architecture aesthetic.
Key features of the design to maximise the use of the sloping site and mitigate with the existing landscaping features.
